To support the continued growth of a portfolio company of BlackFin Capital Partners, ASPORTO, Unipessoal Lda. is recruiting for this position based in Porto, Portugal. 

BlackFin’s portfolio companies is a leading German capital management company (KVG) with more than €400 billion in assets under administration, serving institutional investors across Europe. BlackFin Capital Partners is a European private equity firm specializing in investments in high-growth financial services companies. The firm currently manages over €4 billion in assets and invests through its two most recent funds: BlackFin Financial Services Fund IV (€1.8 billion) and BlackFin Tech 2 (€390 million).

ASPORTO is being established as a dedicated and strategic Service Center for the capital management company. It is designed to serve as a key operational hub, delivering high-quality fund accounting and management company services while setting new benchmarks in scalability, process efficiency, and service excellence.

This role is with ASPORTO and offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the development and long-term success of the Porto platform.

We are seeking Junior Specialists to join our Operations Services team in our Porto office.

 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Transaction Processing & Reconciliations: Perform daily processing and reconciliation of transactions across all asset classes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of breaks
  • Bank Account Oversight: Take responsibility for daily bank account reconciliations, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues in a structured and efficient manner
  • Issue Resolution & Stakeholder Interaction: Investigate discrepancies, resolve breaks, and handle queries with internal and external stakeholders, including fund managers, custodians, brokers, and internal teams
  • Risk Management & Escalation: Identify critical items and contribute to appropriate escalation processes in close coordination with senior colleagues
  • NAV & Accounting Support: Support the accurate preparation of NAV calculations and help ensure the integrity of accounting records
  • Compliance & Controls: Act in line with regulatory requirements, internal controls, and compliance guidelines at all times
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to standardization, automation, and quality enhancement initiatives within the team to drive continuous improvement
  • Cross-Location Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues in Porto and Germany to ensure smooth operations and consistent service delivery

 

Your Skills:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Hands-on approach with a strong sense of teamwork
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex matters independently
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of assigned topics, and deliver solutions under time pressure
